Cinema, the pahadi way

A film on the terrace wall

We throw a film straight onto the terrace wall, out under the open sky. You watch it wrapped in thick blankets beside a glowing sigdi, the cold all around you and the stars overhead — cinema and a cold mountain night, both at once. Clear evenings only.

Back to Experiences

On a clear, dry evening we set up the projector and turn a terrace wall into a screen — outdoors, under the stars, no roof between you and the sky. Pick a film, and we roll it.

However cold it gets, you stay cozy: bundled in thick blankets beside a burning sigdi (सिगड़ी) — the little coal brazier that is unmatched for simple, reliable winter warmth in these mountains. A film in front of you, stars overhead, the hush of the hills all around. Entertainment and nature, in the very same breath.

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a clear, dry evening with us — it can't be set up in rain or snow.

  2. 2

Choose a film; we rig the projector and turn the terrace wall into a screen.

  3. 3

Wrap up in blankets by the sigdi, and let the hills be your cinema.
