True to a genuine old Kumaoni home, the washrooms are shared and set a little apart from the bedrooms — not attached. We could easily have attached a bathroom to every room; we chose to keep it this way, on purpose — it preserves the character and rhythm of the old house. There are two full bath-and-toilet washrooms on the first floor, and what's rare is how they're kept: spotless, modern-tiled and properly hygienic, with 24×7 hot water from the geyser. The authenticity of the old way, without giving up on cleanliness.
