Birds of Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, Almora · Kumaon, Uttarakhand · ≈ 72 km from Kunja
All birdwatchingBinsar Wildlife Sanctuary, also in Almora district, is the closest of the famous spots — a dense sanctuary of oak and rhododendron on a high ridge, with sweeping views to the snow peaks. Its quiet forest holds a fine variety of Himalayan birds: pheasants in the undergrowth, jays and woodpeckers in the canopy, laughingthrushes everywhere.
