Birds of Ranikhet

Ranikhet is a pine-clad cantonment town on a high ridge in Almora district, an hour or so across the hills from Kunja — cooler, greener, with tall conifers and quiet roads. Its forests and flowering shrubs turn up warblers, rosefinches and sunbirds among the pines.
