All birdwatchingChopta, and the Chandrashila summit above it in Garhwal's Rudraprayag district, is some of the finest high-altitude birding in the state — meadow and conifer forest below the Tungnath temple, and true Himalayan Monal country. It's one of the two places we've watched the Monal ourselves.
